Capitals smelling playoffs!

The smell is in the air. For the first time ever, Washington might be in the playoffs. Wait. Might? Oh no, they will be. Making a scene, no wait, sending a message is more like it, to all team in the UFHl; Washington is for real! After years and years of rebuilding, Washington is having the best month in History under GMKS and is having the 6th best month so far to make a late season push for the playoffs.
"Back in February, we really didnt know what we were going to do. We make some moves for guys like Hagman, and he really helped get the offense going. He got our first Hat trick since Nils Ekman last year and we really took off. We got a few points from out future goalie Jimmy Howard, but in all reality, the best move I made this year was getting Johan Hedberg. Year after year we had 1 goalie, Marc-Andre, and now we have two very good goalies and a potential all-star third on the way next year. We got a good enforcer in Simon for free and we really see a lot of potential in this club." Sviland said.
Yes, indeed, potential is they key. Remember, Hagman has a great month last month with 85 points and he goes form 85 to 5 (currently) and is struggling for the past few weeks, its great. Why do you think its great you ask? Because knowing everyone else around him is stepping up, going above and beyond is great. "If you take every one right now on my team, take their best months and add it all up, we got the potential, if they could do it consistantly, to be a top 5-8 team easily. The thing is, we are just getting started. We made a late season move because of one thing, HEATH! MAF and Jason Williams are now healthy for the first time since December and it really makes a huge difference. This month, them combined added 150 points, while making everyone else around them better; like Patrick kane, like Brent Seabrook, like Kris Letang. We got a great group." Said Sviland.
When asked about this summer, "We really dont want to get ahead of ourselves, we want to enjoy this feeling, make a statement to everyone and enjoy it. Everyone needs to realize we are the real deal and we are only going to improve. The best thing is that we got guys like Mike Weber, Michael Frolik, Casey Borer who in all reality could become 82 game NHLers next season and be stellar. I think our team is going to make a move or two this summer, gain a few picks for the 2009 draft, sign a few key players and take it to the next level. In my ideal world, i would like to add a first line forward and if we got anything left in the tank to deal out, i would love to improve our defense a little bit offensively. If you look at our team a year ago and look at it now, you would be in a fantasy world. We've come a long way, but in the long run, WE are going to scare people."
Some players are only going to get better, many others are sitting on cloud 9 and its only a matter of time before they come back; only time will tell, but in the mean time. The Capitals are lerking around; watch out.
